Oerbier Reserva 2024 Ferrer-Bobet was recently bottled, with a cork and refermentation in the bottle. Priorat, what’s that, you wonder. Well, PRIORAT is a small wine region in Catalonia (northern Spain, capital Falset) that makes the most expensive wine in Spain.
Why is it so expensive? Because the land is very steep and everything has to be done by hand. The soil is slate, very hard, and two grape varieties are grown for RED wine: Garnacha and Cariñena.
The name PRIORAT comes from a monastery that was built there after the Muslims left: Carthusian monks from France who grew wine there.

“New” vintage: Madiran 2017.
100% Tannat grape, which gave its name to “tannin”.
After tasting, a unique bottling: RESERVA oerbier in 75 cl bottles, with a cork.
